George Whitefield at 300: deadline looms!

There's just one more week to go until the deadline is reached for the Call for Papers for the George Whitefield at 300 conference at Pembroke College, Oxford at the end of  June next year.

An impressive roster of keynote speakers, all offering fresh perspectives on Whitefield's life and legacy, based on new and original research, are already signed up. These include Mark Noll (Notre Dame), Carla Gardina Pestana (UCLA); Frank Lambert (Purdue); Bill Gibson (Oxford Brookes) and Boyd Schlenther (Aberystwyth).

A large number of shorter paper proposals have already been received, ensuring a wide-ranging conference. But there's still a week for anyone else to submit an idea for a short paper. Anything relating to Whitefield's life itself, or on his posthumous legacy or reputation would be warmly welcome.

Further details of the conference, as well as information on booking for those who would like to attend can be accessed here.
